RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Mike Skrocki scored 17 of his 19 points in the second half Saturday as Richmond recovered from an early 17-point deficit and beat Fordham 74-53.
Michael Haynes scored 17 points in the first 7:11, leading Richmond to a 22-5 edge, but the Spiders could get no closer than six in the first half.
But Richmond (6-5, 14-10 Atlantic 10), held the Rams to 6 of 28 from the floor in the second half, and the Spiders took the lead for good on Skroki's jumper with 16:18 remaining.
Richmond led by as many as 23.
Haynes finished with 17 points and 13 rebounds for the Rams (1-9, 4-17), who dropped their eighth straight game. Mark Jarrell-Wright added 12 and Derrick Breland 11.
Reggie Brown came off the bench to score 13 points for the Spiders and added a season-high six rebounds.
