
Spiders Rammed In Final Seconds

SOUTH KINGSTOWN, R.I (AP) - Dawan Robinson hit a 12-foot shot from the lane with 1.3 seconds to play to lift Rhode Island to a 56-54 win over Richmond on Wednesday night.
Robinson scored a game-high 16 and Jon Clark added 11 for Rhode Island (17-11, 6-8 Atlantic 10), which never trailed.
Richmond's Mike Skrocki's miss from the baseline with 12 seconds left to tie the game at 54-54, the last of four ties in the second half.
Skrocki led the Spiders (16-11, 8-6) with 13 points, even though he shot 4 of 17 overall, including 0 of 9 from 3-point range. Both teams shot 36 percent from the field in the game. Reggie Brown added 12 for Richmond.
Rhode Island led 25-20 at the half despite shooting just 28 percent. The Rams took the halftime lead by outrebounding the Spiders and getting to the foul line. Rhode Island had nine offensive rebounds in the half and went 10-of-17 from the line.
