UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - The University of Richmond women's tennis team defeated Old Dominion University, 4-3, this afternoon at the UR Tennis Complex. The Spiders' record improves to 7-7, with the win.
Richmond won two of the three doubles matches and clinched the team point. Old Dominion responded by winning two singles matches at the number one and two spots. The Spiders answered when Lindsay Cox (Finchampstead, UK) and freshmen Robin Carter (Mendham, N.J.) and Emily Applegate (Charleston, S.C.) posted wins in their singles matches to claim the win.
Richmond returns to the court when it travels to face N.C. State on Saturday, March 27 at 3 p.m.
