Track And Field Sets For Relays

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va.-The University of Richmond men's and women's track and field teams travel to Raleigh, N.C. on Friday, March 26th and Saturday, March 27th for the 2004 Adidas Raleigh Relays. The Spiders will also compete in a tri-meet against VCU and William & Mary on Sunday, March 28th at Sports Backers Stadium.
Richmond opened the 2003-04 outdoor season by setting three program marks (Ashley Bell-100 hurdles, 14.41; Beth Crocus-javelin, 141-6; Diane Schreiber-hammer, 148-01), qualifying two athletes for the NCAA Regionals (Julee Wilson-long jump, 19.05.5; Beth Crocus-javelin 141-6) and garnering three first-place finishes (Bell-100 hurdles, Crocus-javelin, Tim Caramore-5000M, 14:48.92) in the VCU Ram Invitational last weekend.
This weekend the Spiders will compete against over 110 other teams at N.C. State's Paul H. Derr Track. The meet opens on Friday at 10 a.m. in Raleigh and will retire at 8 p.m. that evening. Play resumes on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. and concludes at 5:30 p.m.
