UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. -- The University of Richmond women's tennis team defeated James Madison University, 6-1, Sunday afternoon at the UR Tennis Complex. The Spiders overall record improves to 8-8, with the win.
Richmond swept the three doubles matches and won the team point. Freshman Beatrice Grasu (Reisterstown, Md.) tallied wins in both her singles and doubles matches at the number one position. Lindsay Cox (Finchampstead, UK) and Meghan Wolfgram (Granite Bay, Calif.) also posted wins in their singles and doubles action.
The Spiders are back in action when they face cross-town rival VCU on Thursday, April 1 at 2 p.m.
