Track And Field Sets For UVA

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. -After registering new personal records last week, the men's and women's track and field team travels to Charlottesville, Va. on Saturday, April 10th to compete in the Lou Onesty Invitational held at the University of Virginia. In this week's USTA polls the women's team is ranked 14th nationally.
Over 21 teams are scheduled to participate in the Lou Onesty Invitational including: American, Binghamton, Coppin State, Duquesne, Eclipse TC, Georgetown, Howard, James Madison, Lafayette, Lehigh, MD-Eastern Shore, Monmouth, Mount St. Mary's, Rutgers, St. Joseph's, UMBC, VCU, Virginia, Virginia State, Virginia Tech, Virginia Union, William and Mary.
Setting a new hammer record at 162-01, senior Diane Schreiber (Johnsonburg, Pa.) of the women's squad has consistently improved her throw every meet. She is currently 3.24 meters short of qualifying for the NCAAs with her latest effort.
Senior Tim Caramore (East Greenbush, N.Y) is this week's A-10 Player of the Week after claiming the top 3,000m steeplechase (9:10.35) time in the conference.
The meet commences at 10 a.m. Saturday morning and will conclude at 6:20 p.m. that night.
