Track And Field's Last Chance

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Freshman Beth Crocus claimed a top-five performance as members of the men's and women's track and field team competed in the Georgia Tech Last Chance Meet, this weekend.
Crocus (Bethlehem, Pa.) darted the javelin 145-06 and finished fourth overall, while classmate Lindsey Smith (Pottsville, Pa.) threw a 134-10 and placed sixth in the same event.
Senior Diane Schreiber (Johnsonburg, Pa.) tossed the hammer out 162-11 feet for a fourth-place stance in the first flight and propelled the shot put 42-09.75, while senior Julee Wilson leaped 17-11.75 in the long jump for fifth-place in the second flight.
Seniors Kevin Rhue (Virginia Beech, Va.) and Tim Caramore (East Greenbush, N.Y.) both participated in the 1500M run with times of 3:48.34 and 3:53.26, respectively.
The Spiders will compete in the NCAA Championships on May 28th and 29th.
