Richmond Head Coach Dave Clawson
On the team:
"Our team is really building off each other. When the offense comes out and plays well I think it gives our defense confidence. When the defense makes stops it makes our offense play better. I think what we have now is a team which builds on momentum off the other side of the football and special teams. It is a lot of fun, and we continue to get better. That is the course we want to keep going on."
On Stacy Tutt:
"We want the ball in Stacy's hands on critical downs. I think the thing about Stacy right now is how much he has improved from a year ago. I think he is throwing the ball away when he needs to. He is keeping his eyes downfield. When he gets flushed from the pocket he continues to look for receivers down the field."
On the offense:
"We made some big third-down conversions today, which is certainly an area we worked hard on this week."
On Omar Cuff:
"The big thing is we converted third downs today. I think we won the time of possession by over 10 minutes. The way you control a great running back is to keep him off the field."
Richmond's Adam Goloboski
On the defense:
"It is definitely a great feeling. The defense is really coming along. The defensive line has been great and the secondary has been stepping up. The linebackers are finally clicking."
On the second half effort:
"Our mindset coming out in the second half was to get three-and-outs. The first two series we got that done and allowed the offense to come back out and get some points."
Richmond's Tim Hightower
On Richmond's last drive:
"We came ready to go that last drive and coach just put the ball in our hands. He told us we have to keep the ball going, we have to keep the clock moving and we have to get the first downs. The offensive line really held their own and wore them down. They opened the hole and I just ran through it."
On the offensive line wearing the defense down:
"In the first three quarters they made things crowded with a lot of stunts and blitzes. Our offensive line just hung in there and kept pounding. Sooner or later the other team is going to start wearing away. That is the way it has been the last few games."
Delaware Head Coach K.C. Keeler
On the team:
"We have the policy that if I see a single player not playing hard we'll get rid of him, but that was not the case today. We were inconsistent on both sides of the ball. Obviously this is frustrating."
On the defense:
"Third downs killed us. You can look to the secondary for this but we weren't getting any pressure up front."
On the pass interference call:
"It was a bad call. They knew it was a bad call. He blew it. We haven't gotten calls our way all year."
Delaware's Kyle Campbell
On Stacy Tutt:
"We knew coming in that he (Stacy Tutt) was one of the best pure athletes in the league."
On the travel:
"The travel didn't make an impact on the game, it was like a home game for us."
On Arman Shields:
"We tried to cover him the best we could."
Delaware's Matt Marcorelle
On time of possession and Stacy Tutt:
"Anytime we got pressure on him (Stacy Tutt) he scrambled out of the pocket and we couldn't touch him. By giving them more time on the field we buried ourselves."
Delaware's Sonny Riccio
On the game:
"If we give 100 percent and come out with a loss we can hold our head high. We need to count by 6's and not 3's. It's hard to lose three in a row. We have to take every game like it's your last."
