Spider Football To Make Appearance At Short Pump Town Center

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. -- A number of Richmond football players will be on hand Saturday, Aug. 20, at Short Pump Town Center from 2-4 p.m. Posters, schedule cards and a wide variety of Spider Athletics literature will be available at a kiosk outside of Dick's Sporting Goods and near the kid's play area in the mall commons. Eight Spider players, four during each hour, will be on hand to meet the weekend shoppers, sign autographs and take pictures with fans.
The Spiders open the 2005 season Sept. 1 at UR Stadium, when they host No. 15 UMass at 7 p.m.
