Men's Tennis Falls In Season Openers

RICHMOND, Va. - The University of Richmond men's tennis team opened its 2006 season with losses to Campbell University and VCU on Friday afternoon at the VCU 4-1 Invitational at the Thalhimer Tennis Center. While Richmond's Doug Banker and Brett Waikart each won a match against Campbell in the Spiders' 3-2 loss to the Camels, the No. 33 VCU Rams made a clean 5-0 sweep over the Spiders on Friday. The Spiders will return to action tomorrow at 3:00 p.m. at William & Mary.
