
Women's Tennis Sweeps James Madison, 7-0

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - The University of Richmond women's tennis team made a clean 7-0 sweep over the James Madison Dukes (3-4) on Saturday afternoon on the University of Richmond campus, earning its sixth win in the last seven matches. The Spiders improve to 7-6 on the year with the win.
Richmond's Beatrice Grasu and Robin Carter paired up at the No. 1 doubles spot to take down JMU's Kristin Nordstrom and Mary Napier, while both the Ashlee Vosters/Pamela Duran duo and the Xenia Schneider/Jelena Zivanovic duo played solid tennis, earning wins at No. 2 and 3 to secure the doubles point for the Spiders.
The Spiders then continued their winning ways into singles' action where they swept all matches. Grasu led the Spiders at the No. 1 spot with a win over Nordstrom and Carter followed with a victory over Napier at the No. 2 position. Jessica Hubbard earned a win at No. 6 as the Spiders ended with a 6-0 advantage in singles action.
The Spiders return to action tomorrow when they will host Bucknell University. Originally scheduled for 10:00 a.m., the match will be played at noon.
