Women's Soccer Faces Loyola On Sunday

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Still looking for its first win of the season, the Richmond women's soccer team travels to Baltimore, Md. where Loyola College will return home after five straight road games to host the Spiders on Diane Geppi-Aikens Field on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
The Spiders (0-6-1) just played to a 0-0 knot in double overtime in its first-ever meeting with Longwood University on Thursday night. Freshman Kristen Stalter continues to pace the Spiders in scoring with two goals on the year.
The Greyhounds (1-3-1) are coming off a 1-0 upset over Maryland on Tuesday night. Carolyn Kennington leads Loyola on the offensive end with two goals on the season, while Brittany Henderson anchors the Greyhounds in the back, earning MAAC Defensive honors this week.
The Spiders own a 2-0 advantage in the Richmond-Loyola series, including a 3-2 win at Loyola in 1998 and a 2-0 win over the Greyhounds the following season.
Following Sunday's contest, the Spiders will resume action on Friday in Washington, D.C. where they will play the American Eagles at 4:00 p.m.
