
Germino Tied For Fourth As Women's Golf Sits In Eighth Place

Richmond sophomore Rosario Germino shot a 4-over-par 76 to move into a tie for fourth place, four strokes off the lead, but the Spiders dropped to eighth out of 14 teams after the second round of the Nittany Lion Women's Invitational on Saturday.
The third and final round of the 54-hole tournament will be played Sunday morning at 8 a.m. at Penn State's par-72, 6,300-yard Blue Course.
The Spiders shot one stroke better than the first round, but dropped from fifth place to eighth after two rounds. Richmond carded a 326 as a team and are in eighth place with a 653, one stroke behind seventh-place Boston College and five strokes behind sixth-place Bucknell. Yale shot a 307 after a 329 to move up to fourth place, while Bucknell passed the Spiders with a round of 314 and Boston College shot a 320.
Germino is at 11-over 155 (79-76), four strokes off leader Evelyn Paik of Penn State (76-75=151). Richmond freshman Victoria Kidder is tied for 32nd at 164 (81-83), while senior Ashley Lambert is tied for 35th at 165 (83-82).
Freshman Anne Sprick is tied for 48th (84-85=169) and freshman Lauren Folgosa is tied for 59th (85-86=171).
