Golf Lands Four on Atlantic 10 All-Academic Teams
06/22/2026 | Men's Golf, Women's Golf
RICHMOND, Va. — Four Spiders were selected to the Atlantic 10 Men's and Women's Golf All-Academic Teams, the conference announced Monday. Richmond, which won the league's men's and women's golf championships this spring, was the only school with multiple players represented on the teams, which honor golfers for both their competitive and scholastic accomplishments during the year.
Nominees must have a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or greater, be at least a sophomore academically and in terms of athletic eligibility, and be a starter or significant reserve on his or her team. The league's public relations directors select the five-member teams.
Spiders made up three of the five members of the Women's Golf All-Academic Team, as seniors Hannah Lydic and Liv Wilkie and junior Maya Beasley were chosen. It was the second straight selection for Lydic, who landed on the All-Academic Team in 2025 after winning the conference's individual title at the inaugural A-10 Women's Golf Championship. Wilkie was honored after placing third at the 2026 A-10 Women's Golf Championship and helping the Spiders to their second straight team title. Beasley, the 2026 A-10 individual champion, also won the Tribe Invitational last season, joining Sophie DiPetrillo in 2017-18 as the only Spider to win multiple events in a season.
Sophomore Carson Baez was named to the Men's Golf All-Academic Team. He placed third at April's A-10 Championships, helping the Spiders to their first conference title since 2017. Baez is the eighth different Spider to earn A-10 All-Academic honors under coach Adam Decker and the first since current assistant coach Cole Ekert landed on the team last year.
Breckin Taylor, Dayton
Luke Brower, Fordham
Josiah Tong, Rhode Island
Carson Baez, Richmond
Noah Moelter, Saint Joseph's
