
Women's Golf Tied For 11th After Two Rounds Of Kentucky Invitational

LEXINGTON, Ky. - The Richmond women's golf team is tied for 11th out of 15 teams after two rounds of the Kentucky Wildcat Fall Invitational played Saturday at the University Club.
The Spiders shot a 337 under harsh conditions in the morning round on the par-72, 6,157 yard course. The conditions were a little more favorable in the afternoon and the Spiders shot a 318 in the second round to sit at 655, which has them tied with the host Wildcats. Mississippi State is in 10th at 643 and Central Florida is in ninth at 641.
This is the second time in three tournaments the Spiders have played in a tournament filled with the top teams in the nation. Louisville has the lead after two rounds at 630, while North Carolina State and Memphis are tied for second, one shot back.
Richmond sophomore Rosario Germino leads the Spiders through two rounds with a 162 (82-80) which has her tied for 34th. Senior Ashley Lambert shot an 85 in the morning round, but rebounded with a 78 in the afternoon round. She is tied for 37th at 163.
Freshman Lauren Folgosa is tied for 45th at 165 (84-81), freshman Victoria Kidder is tied for 58th (86-82=168) and freshman Anne Sprick is tied for 65th (91-79=170).
The third and final round of the Kentucky Wildcat Invitational will be played on Sunday morning.
