The Spiders have rebounded well for the last three games. Wednesday night Richmond came up just short in the rebounding margin (29-26). The Spiders out-rebounded Fordham 29-20 on Saturday and only lost out to Virginia Tech 27-23 on the boards.
Freshman David Gonzalvez scored a career-high 24 points, making a career-high four 3-pointers, and grabbing a career-high eight rebounds.
Junior Oumar Sylla scored nine points, grabbed five rebounds and had three assists in his season debut.
Sophomore Mark McGonigal made his first career field and played a career-high 10 minutes.
Senior Gaston Moliva did not play Wednesday against St. Bonaventure after feeling discomfort after his season debut Saturday vs. Fordham.
