Women's Golf Finishes Up Fall Season Tuesday

SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. - The Richmond women's golf team is in 15th place after two rounds of the Ross Resorts Invitational played Monday at Mid Pines Golf Club.
The Spiders struggled to a 338 in the morning round, but rebounded to shoot a 319 in the afternoon for a two-round score of 657, four strokes behind 12th-place Xavier.
"We struggled in the first round, but we improved in the afternoon," Richmond head coach Leighann Albaugh said. "We're looking to go out there tomorrow and finish up the fall season on a positive note."
Richmond junior Rosario Germino shot a 4-over 76 on the par-72, 6,114-yard Mid Pines course to finish the day at 161 (85-76) and in a tie for 34th. Sophomore Anne Sprick is tied for 42nd at 162 after carding rounds of 85 and 77.
Freshman Jillian Fraccola is tied for 62nd at 167 (83-84) and sophomore Lauren Folgosa is tied for 65th at 168 (86-82). Senior Alex Latimer is in 71st at 170 after a pair of 85s.
The third and final round of the Ross Resorts Invitational will be played Tuesday. Tomorrow's round will be the final round of the fall season for the Spiders.
