Richmond Head Coach Chris Mooney
On The Win
"We have tremendous respect for Old Dominion. The first year we played them and I think they had four seniors, the second year they had four seniors, this year they have four seniors. For a program like theirs and a program like ours, that's what is going to lead to ultimate success. It's being able to have guys who have played a lot of basketball, who have worked hard and experienced a lot.
"We have tremendous respect for them and to beat them in a game that was physical, and was a game that they are very good at, is very big for our program. We had a lot of young guys playing important roles. It's really something we can build on, something we have to took to as a significant win, especially with them coming off a big win against Virginia Tech."
On The Game
"I thought we played well, we were tough and physical. We out-rebounded them, which is a very good sign. At the end of the game we had two or three sophomores and two or three freshman in there and we held onto ourselves."
On Richmond Playing Well After An 11-Day Layoff
"You hear that a lot, these layoffs and what they are going to mean. I think we handled it extremely well. I thought we could have certainly taken better care of the ball, but I thought we handled it very well. We were hungry to play. I thought we really showed aggressiveness and intensity. That needs to become our trademark, but we haven't seen it for as long a period as tonight."
On Kevin Anderson
"He was terrific, he's hard to take out of the game, playing like that, especially being his defense was so good. He was stealing the ball, diving on the floor, he made a big three, he was handling the ball in very difficult situations, he was very, very good."
Richmond's Kevin Anderson
On Making Hustle Plays
"As a team we all have to do something. I have to do the things that got me here. If we keep doing that as a team, the second half won't go as bad as it has been."
On The Win
"We had to control the tempo, but most importantly we had to control the offensive glass. We've been getting killed on the offensive glass - just rebounding period - and we knew Old Dominion outrebounded their opponents, I think every game, so we've been doing a lot of rebounding drills in practice. If you control the glass, you control the game."
Richmond's Dan Geriot
On The Win
"It's huge because their coming off a big win against Virginia Tech and they are a really good team. They have been getting a lot of wins the past couple of years. It's big for us to get this win at home too. We have to start showing that we are good. We work way too hard in practice and way too hard in the offseason to be 5-6 like we are right now. We have to start to get more wins."
On What The Win Will Do For The Spiders
"The energy will be even better in practice. The last wee and a half it's been the best it's been since I've been here."
Old Dominion Coach Blaine Taylor
On The Loss
"It's odd circumstances for us. Two years ago we just got done beating DePaul by 44 and we come up here and get ambushed, then we just get done beating Virginia Tech, come up here and get ambushed. It seems like Chris has done a nice job kind of saying, `let's ambush these guys."
On Richmond
"To their credit they made some shots at the end of some clocks. They out-rebounded us, they outplayed our font line."
Old Dominion's Jonathan Adams
On Richmond's Offense
"We saw it with Georgetown, they run the same thing. You have to stick with your same rules on defense. Unfortunately we weren't able to do that tonight."
On Old Dominion Struggling On Offense
"You have to give them credit, they made us take some shots that we normally don't take, rushed shots, hurried shots. We took a lot more threes than we normally take. We just rushed."
