
Women's Tennis Falls At Penn, 6-1

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The Richmond women's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to Penn, the 2006 Ivy League runners-up, on Friday afternoon in Philadelphia, Pa. Sophomore Ashlee Vosters led the Spiders with a win at No. 4 singles and No. 2 doubles with sophomore Pamela Duran.
While the Spiders dropped at No. 1 and 3 doubles, the Voster/Duran duo paired up for an 8-5 win over Yulia Rivelis and Julia Koulbitskaya.
Vosters then moved on to claim the only win in singles action for Richmond, taking a 6-0, 6-2 win over Lenka Snajdrova at the No. 4 spot.
The Spiders (0-2) continue action tomorrow with their A-10 opener at Temple at 4:30 p.m.
