CHARLESTON, S.C. - The Richmond women's golf team finished the Cougar Classic with a final round 314 on Tuesday at Yeamans Hall.
The Spiders finished the tournament in 20th place, but played their best round of the season-opening tournament on the final day.
Junior Rosario Germino carded a 4-over-par 76 on the final day and sophomore Lauren Folgosa shot a 78.
Germino led the Spidres for the tournament with a 238 to tie for 83rd. Freshman Jillian Fraccola tied for 94th with a 244 and sophomore Anne Sprick took 96th at 245. Folgosa finished in a tie for 98th at 248 and sophomore Victoria Kidder tied for 100th at 249.
"This is more along the lines of what we should have seen the first two days," Richmond coach Leighann Albaugh said. "We finished on a high note, but we have some things to work on to prepare for next week."
The Spiders return to action next Monday and Tuesday at the Tribe Intercollegiate at Williamsburg National.
