UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. -
The season premiere of The Spider Sportsline with head football coach Dave Clawson is set for tonight, Wednesday Sept, 5, from 7-8 o'clock on ESPN Radio 950 and RichmondSpiders.com. For the fourth consecutive year, Buffalo Wild Wings, 7801 W. Broad Street will host the show, and fans are encouraged to come by to enjoy dinner and talk Spider football.
Coach Clawson and host Bob Black will welcome senior wide receiver Arman Shields as tonight's special player guest. Shields moved into a tie for second on the career receptions list following a 12-catch, 107-yard effort against Vanderbilt.
The on-air group will take phone calls, emails, and questions from the audience. Highlights from Saturday's season opener at Vanderbilt will be shown on the big-screen TV.
Again this year, Buffalo Wild Wings will offer a food-bill discount to Spider Club members and UR students in attendance. When the Spiders score up to 19 points in the previous Saturday's game, the discount will be 10 percent; 20-29 points will be a 20 percent discount and 30 or more points will be a 30 percent discount. The offer is good between 6-9pm on Wednesday nights. Tonight's discount is 10 percent.
