Women's Golf Finishes Fifth At Spider Fall Invitational

MIDLOTHIAN, Va. - The Richmond women's golf team placed fifth out of 14 teams at the Spider Fall Invitational, completed Tuesday at Independence Golf Club.
The Spiders shot a 306 on Tuesday after a 309 Monday to finish at 615. Maryland won the tournament with a 600, followed by Wofford in second at 603, Longwood in third at 605 and Columbia in fourth at 606.
Sophomore Jillian Fraccola tied for 16th at 8-over-par 154 and four Spiders tied for 19th at 9-over 155.
Fraccola had shot a 2-over 74 in Monday's first round on the par-72, 6,118-yard course and carded an 80 on Tuesday. Juniors Anne Sprick and Lauren Folgosa, sophomore Christina Gray and freshman Jackie Evans all tied for 19th.
Sprick, Gray and Folgosa each shot 79s on Monday and 76s on Tuesday, while Evans shot a 77 in the first round and 78 in the second round.
Playing as individuals, junior Victoria Kidder tied for 64th and senior Rosario Germino tied for 76th.
The Spiders return to action on Sunday at the East Carolina Lady Pirate Invitational.
