University of Richmond, Va. -
The Spiders, coming off their best start in school history at 9-2-1, are ranked sixth in the NSCAA Mid-Atlantic poll and eighth in the Soccer Buzz Magazine.
Richmond ranked higher than soccer powers Villanova and Virginia Tech in both polls.
The Spiders have won six out of their last seven matches, including three in a row. They are currently tied for first in the Atlantic-10 Conference with a 3-1 record.
Seniors Jessie Wolfe and Sarah Hilt have provided veteran leadership in games thus far. Wolfe leads the team in goals with five, four of which came in a span of two games. Hilt leads the team with six assists, one shy from breaking into the record books for assists in a single season.
Richmond hopes to continue its winning streak with two road matches this weekend. The Spiders travel to Duquesne on Friday and St. Bonaventure on Sunday.
