Wolfe Selected To Mid-Atlantic All-Region Team

Senior standout Jessie Wolfe was named to the NSCAA/adidas 2008 Mid-Atlantic All-Region team. Wolfe, a native of Germantown, Md. led the Spiders with seven goals and 63 shots.
" Jessie has had a remarkable career," said head coach Peter Albright. "This is a well deserved honor for a wonderful player. She will be remembered as one of the best players ever to wear a Richmond Jersey."
Wolfe, who was an Atlantic 10 All-Conference First Team selection, ended her storied career with 19 goals, which put her fifth all-time in career goals. Wolfe launched 240 shots, which moved her to second all-time in career shots. Her seven goals on the year was a career-high.
" Her training ethic, commitment to winning, and her considerable talent and abilities made her a shining example of the type of player and person that we aspire to have in our program," said Albright. Her presence will be greatly missed."
The Spiders ended their season with a 10-9-1 record. The ten overall victories is the program's most since 2004.
