UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. -
The Richmond women's soccer team has announced its 2008 spring schedule. The Spiders will play seven contests, including five in the Richmond area. Head coach Peter Albright will return 19 players from the 2007 squad to take on a tough schedule to prepare for the fall. The Spiders lose just four seniors, Carrie Holland, Anne Hazel, Ali LeVIne and Christine Wrublesky.
"We are playing two NCAA tournament teams, three of the top 4 teams in the CAA, a strong ACC team, and the third ranked boys u-15 team in Virginia," head coach Peter Albright said. "These games will really test us and help us to develop our player pool for the fall."
Richmond will play three of its games at First Market Stadium this spring. The Spiders host William and Mary April 2 for a 7 p.m. ET game; they will welcome back players from the past for the annual alumni game Saturday, April 12 at 12 p.m. ET and will face-off against the boys as the Richmond Kickers U-15 team comes to FMS April 16 for a 7 p.m. ET game.
