
Women's Tennis Sweeps Georgetown

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - The Richmond women's tennis team dominated Georgetown today earning a 7-0 victory over the Hoyas. The Spiders took all three matches in doubles play and won six-of-six matches in singles action for the seven-point victory. Richmond's number one player, Erin Clark earned a win as an individual over Georgetown's Olsen and also teamed up with Ashlee Vosters to get the win as the Spiders' number one duo, led Richmond.
"We coped with the windy conditions well today and our focus was strong from the start," head coach Mark Wesselink said. "That is an improvement for the team. I was proud of everyone's fight and willingness to battle on a tough day."
Freshman Jelena Zivanovic taking on the Hoyas' Sebia. Zivanovic was down 4-6 but came back to win 6-3 (11-9) to earn the Spiders' sixth win in singles action.
Richmond returns to action this Saturday, March 22 at Longwood for a 1 p.m. ET match.
