Spiders Win Third Straight, 3-1, Over Longwood

The Spiders equaled their best start in school history with a 3-1 victory over host team, Longwood University. Junior midfielder Kelsey Rdzanek scored her second goal of the season on a ball assisted by both freshman Kat Russell and senior Jessie Wolfe.
Richmond struck again at the 64:48 mark when freshman forward Emily Dale scored on an assist by senior Sarah Hilt. The Spiders then sealed the win with the last goal coming from junior forward . Mann scored on a header from a cross pass by freshman Bridget Kinaely and Hilt at the 81:08 mark.
The Lancers scored their lone goal at the 73:24 mark in the second half when junior Michelle DeSieno served the ball from the right side of the box, and a defender deflected the ball in the net.
Richmond dominated shots on goal, with an 11-2 advantage. The Spiders return to action next Friday night against the College of Charleston in the Davidson College Tournament. Kick-off is slated for 4:30 p.m. at Davidson College.
