Walker In Third, Spiders Tied For Second At Georgetown Intercollegiate

BEALLSVILLE, Md. - Freshman Daniel Walker is in third place at 2-under-par 70 and the Spiders are tied for second entering the final round of the 25th Annual Georgetown Intercollegiate.
The Georgetown Intercollegiate was scheduled to be 54 holes with 36 holes on Monday, but due to weather it was shortened to 18 holes Monday with the final 18 holes to be played Tuesday.
Walker, who has finished in the top-5 in his last two tournaments, shot a 1-under 70 in the opening round Monday and is one shot out of second place and two shots behind leader Hank Frame of Washington State.
Washington State is in the lead at 1-over 285, while the Spiders are tied for second with UNC Greensboro at 12-over 296 in the 12-team tournament.
Richmond junior Sam Beach is tied for ninth after shooting a 2-over 73, while senior Robert Lindstrom is tied for 24th with a 76 and freshman Nick Austin is tied for 29th with a 79. Junior Michael Shrader is tied for 44th with a 79.
Richmond has finished first or second in three of its four tournaments this fall, including winning the Frank Landrey Invitational on Oct. 6.
