Gray Finishes 9th As Spiders Take 10th At Nittany Lion Invitational

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Richmond sophomore Christina Gray tied for ninth and the Richmond women's golf team took 10th out of 16 teams at the Nittany Lion Invitational, completed Sunday at Penn State's Blue Course.
Gray followed an opening round 79 with a 2-over 74 and 3-over 75 to finish at 228. It was Gray's fifth top-10 finish of her career.
After a first round 325, the Spiders shot a 313 in the second round and 316 in the third round to finish at 954.
Richmond junior Jillian Fraccola tied for 33rd at 237 (82-76-79). Freshman Courtney Rousse tied for 58th at 245 (84-83-78) and freshman Tracy Martin tied for 62nd at 246 (80-82-84). Senior Anne Sprick tied for 70th at 250 (84-81-85).
Richmond returns to action Oct. 12-13 hosting the Spider Fall Invitational at Independence Golf Club in Midlothian.
