GONZALVEZ NAMED COLLEGE CHALKTALK A-10 PLAYER OF WEEK
UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Richmond senior David Gonzalvez was named Atlantic 10 Player of the Week by College Chalktalk.
Gonzalvez scored a game-high and season-high 25 points in Richmond's 89-63 win over UNC-Greensboro. The Marietta, Ga. native also had four rebounds, three assists and three steals.
Gonzalvez is averaging 16.8 points per game over his last six games. He ranks eighth in the league in field goal percentage (.500) and ninth in the A-10 in steals (1.75)
Gonzalvez is second on the Spiders in scoring (14.3 ppg), steals (1.75 spg) and assists (2.9 apg).
Richmond improved to 9-3 on the season, the sixth-best 12-game start in school history. The Spiders return to action Monday night against UNC-Wilmington at 7 p.m. in the Robins Center and travel to Wake Forest on Dec. 31.
