Ruhe Named To 2009 NSCAA All Mid-Atlantic Region Second Team

Senior Jen Ruhe was selected to the 2009 NSCAA All Mid-Atlantic Region second team. Ruhe appeared and started in all 20 games for the Spiders.
Ruhe, a center back from Frederick, Md., garnered an Atlantic 10 All-Conference honorable mention after anchoring the Spider defense this past season. Ruhe was one of three Spiders honored by the conference.
"Jenny finished her career as one of the finest defenders ever to wear the Richmond colors," said head coach Peter Albright. "She is an inspirational athlete and a great teammate who never, ever settled. It's fitting to see her recognized as one of the top collegiate players in the region."
Ruhe tallied a goal in a 2-1 win over GW on Oct 10th. Ruhe appeared in 66 games, scored five goals, dished seven assists and earned 17 points in her four years as a Spider.
