Richmond won its third-straight, sixth time in the last seven games and for the seventh time in the last 9 outings. Richmond improved to 18-14 overall, improving to four games over .500 for the first time since being 16-12 last season. The Spiders will be going for their first four-game winning streak of the season on Thursday in the Atlantic 10 quarterfinals against Dayton.

With the win, the Spiders are one of five Atlantic 10 teams to play in the Atlantic 10 Tournament quarterfinals in each of the past two seasons.

The Spiders held St. Bonaventure to 49 points, the third time this season Richmond held an opponent under 50 points and the eighth time in 32 games that the Spiders held the opposition under 60 points. Richmond has held eight of its last nine opponents to under 70 points, holding teams to 63.0 points per game in the last nine games.

Richmond had 11 steals against St. Bonaventure, the seventh time this season that the Spiders have had double-figure steals, including the second time in the last four games. The Spiders have had at least five steals in 61 of the last 66 games.

The Spiders had just eight turnovers, one off of their season high. Richmond has had single-digit turnovers in the last three games and eight times this season. Richmond has had 11 turnovers or less in seven of the last eight games and is averaging just 10.0 turnovers per game in that stretch.

Richmond improved to 17-2 when it shoots a higher field goal percentage than its opponent.

THE PLAYERS

Sophomore Kevin Anderson had his third-straight 20-point game, his eighth of the season and his 11th of his career. Anderson has 47-career double-figure scoring games, including 40 of the last 42 games. He has 18 or more points in seven of the last eight games and 22 or more points in five of the last eight games. Anderson is averaging 21.9 points per game in the last eight games.

Junior David Gonzalvez scored 18 points for his 56th-career double-figure scoring game, including his 26th in 32 games this season. Gonzalvez has 1,143 career points, which makes him 25th on the Spiders' all-time scoring list, having passed John Telepo (1961-64) with 1,127 points. Gonzalvez needs 16 points to tie Tom Green (1964-67) for 24th with 1,159 points, needs 19 points to tie Kevin Eastman (1973-77) for 23rd with 1,162 and needs 20 points to tie Butch Lambiotte (1956-60) for 22nd with 1,163.

Junior Ryan Butler scored 10 points for his 21st-career double-figure scoring game, including his seventh this season. Butler tied a season high with five rebounds and tied a career high with five steals. Butler has at least three steals in seven games this season and has at least four steals in three of the last five games.
