Each week a player from the Richmond women's soccer team will be featured as the Spider Spotlight Player of the Week. The second Spider to be featured is sophomore back Sarah Scheurich. Scheurich took some time to answer a few questions about herself and her time at Richmond.
What is your major and why?
Physics because I like to understand how things work
What are your career goals?
To contribute to sustainable energy goals
Who is your role model?
My mom
If you could take a road trip anywhere, where would you go?
California, because I want to live there
What has been your most memorable moment at Richmond thus far?
Beating JMU TWICE and the eight inches of snow last winter
The best thing about being a Spider is?
D-Hall
How would your best friend describe you?
High energy, bubbly and optimistic
What did you do over the summer?
I worked, ran, surfed and enjoyed a break from school
What is your favorite part of the game? What do you love to do as a player?
My favorite part of the game are quick one touch passing sequences because they make a team look polished.
Are there any social or political issues that you are passionate about?
Green energy
Who is your best professor that you have had at UR (so far)?
Con Beausang (the man)
If you were "in charge" for a day, what would your first act be?
Make everyone go and play outside
What is your goal as a UR soccer player?
To develop as a player and help my team win
