Women's Golf Finishes 17th At Cougar Classic

HANAHAN, S.C. - Junior Jillian Fraccola tied for 21st as the Richmond women's golf team finished 17th at the Duramed Cougar Classic, hosted by the College of Charleston.
Georgia won the event, with Florida State taking second, North Carolina finishing third and Tennesse placing fourth.
Richmond shot a 311 in the first round, a 305 in the second round and a 319 in Tuesday's final round.
Fraccola shot a career-low 3-under-par 69 in the first round that had her tied for fourth. She followed that with a 76 and a 2-over 74 to finish at 219.
Richmond senior Lauren Folgosa tied for 78th at 237 after rounds of 79, 76 and 82. Senior Anne Sprick tied for 80th, one shot behind Folgosa at 238. Sprickshot an 83 in the first round, a 1-over 73 in the second and an 82 in the third round.
Freshman Courtney Rousse finish 86th at 244 (80-80-84) and freshman Tracy Martin took 89th at 250 (83-86-81).
The Spiders return to action Sept. 19-20 at the Princeton Invitational.
