Women's Soccer Hosts Davidson Tonight At Ukrop Park

The Richmond women's soccer team hosts Davidson tonight at Ukrop Park at 7 p.m. The Spiders wrap up their non-conference schedule with Longwood Sunday at Ukrop Park at 7 p.m.
Richmond battled cross-town rival VCU to a scoreless battle in the final game of the VCU Invitational Sunday afternoon at Sports Backers Stadium. The Spiders dropped a 1-0 decision to Eastern Michigan in the opening round of the VCU Invitational. Senior Jen Ruhe and freshmen Shondel Archer and Emily Parisi earned spots on the All-Tournament team.
"This is our last weekend before the A-10- Conference play begins," said head coach Peter Albright. "There is a real sense of urgency as we prepare for our quest. Both Davidson and Longwood have been winning games and scoring goals lately, and both will present formidable challenges. We are looking forward to playing at home."
The Spiders lead the series 2-0-1, with the only tie of the series coming last September. Sophomore Emily Dale tallied the goal for Richmond.
Richmond continues its home slate with Longwood Sunday night at Ukrop Park at 7 p.m.
