Archer Tabbed Women's Soccer Atlantic 10 Rookie Of The Week

Freshman forward Shondel Archer was named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week after tallying a goal in each of the Spiders' wins this past weekend. Archer is the second Spider to garner A-10 Rookie of the Week honors.
The Woodbridge, Va native scored her first goal of the weekend in a 3-2 victory over Davidson. Archer scored in the 11th minute from a cross pass from senior Kristen Stalter.
Archer scored the Spiders' first goal again in Richmond's 2-0 victory over Longwood last night. Archer has tallied four goals in the past five games and leads Richmond with five goals scored.
The Spiders are ranked ninth in the latest NSCAA Mid-Atlantic Region poll. Richmond is looking for its third straight victory Friday night in the conference opener versus Fordham. Kick-off is slated for 7:00 p. m.
