Spider Spotlight On Carter Blair

Each week a player from the Richmond women's soccer team will be featured as the Spider Spotlight Player of the Week. This week's Spider is senior back Carter Blair. Blair took some time to answer a few questions about herself and her time at Richmond.
Why did you decide to play soccer at the University of Richmond?
U of R is a great school, both academically and athletically, both of which were important to me when choosing a school. I also loved the team and the campus is beautiful.
What is your major? Why?
Sociology and Criminal Justice. I find both fields interesting and they will help with my desire to become a social worker.
What are your career goals?
I want to be a social worker and work with juvenile delinquents.
Who is your role model?
My parents
If you could take a road trip anywhere, where would you go?
If I am allowed to fly, I would go back to England to see Man U play again.
What has been your most memorable moment at Richmond thus far?
Going to the A10 tournament.
How would your best friend describe you?
Introverted, competitive
What did you do over the summer?
Worked out, Worked at Camp Va, and babysat.
What is your favorite part of the game? What do you love to do as a player?
All of it. I just love playing soccer, be it small sided or the finals of the A10 tournament.
Who is the best professor that you have had at UR (so far)?
Jeff Toussaint
What is the biggest obstacle or challenge that you have had to overcome?
Breaking my feet.
What are your fears?
Scary movies and speaking in public
If you were "in charge" for a day, what would your first act be?
Require all students to attend our soccer games.
What is your goal as a UR soccer player?
To win the A10 tournament and make it to the NCAA tournament.
