UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND - Richmond's running powerhouse, Tim Quinn, gains attention from the university for his research in French literature as well as an appreciation for the liberal arts.
The political science and French double-major spent this past summer studying educational themes in Renaissance-era French literature after the School of Arts & Sciences granted him a summer research fellowship. He spent most of the summer on Richmond's campus, but also spent a short time in Paris prior to the start of the fall semester.

Quinn currently serves as a team captain for the indoor and outdoor track and field teams, as well as the cross country team. He has earned first team A-10 All-Conference honors for the three sports, as well as earning A-10 All-Academic Team honors several times. His academic success has helped lead the men's teams to NCAA All-Academic Honors for eight consecutive years.
The Spider community looks forward to seeing how Quinn performs this weekend in Pittsburgh, Pa. He will be a vital element for the men in their hopes of clinching Richmond's first Atlantic 10 Men's Cross Country Championship.
Richmond's first track and field event takes place at the Holiday Open on Dec. 4 in Newport News, Va.
