THE TEAM
Richmond has shot at least 44 percent from the field in all three games after shooting 44.3 percent Thursday night.
The Spiders have made at least 27 field goals in all three games this season.
Richmond made 10 three-pointers, giving the Spiders 30 three-pointers in three games. The Spiders have made at least nine three-pointers in each game.
The Spiders had six steals against Iona, giving Richmond 23 steals through three games (7.67 spg).
Richmond is averaging 17.3 assists per game through three games.
THE PLAYERS
Senior Kevin Anderson scored 24 points for his 86th-career double-figure scoring game, including his 29th 20-point game of his career. Anderson had six assists, three steals and one block, playing all 50 minutes. Anderson now has 1,595 points, nine points from tying Peter Woolfolk for seventh on Richmond's all-time career list. With his three steals Thursday, Anderson has 167 career steals, pulling within seven steals of former teammate Ryan Butler (174) for fifth on Richmond's all-time career list and eight steals from former teammate David Gonzalvez (175) for fourth.
Senior Justin Harper scored 18 points for his third-straight double-figure scoring game and his 11th in the last 13 games. Harper has scored in double-figures 38 times in his career and now has 845 career points. Harper is averaging 16.3 points per game, shooting 67.9 percent from the field (19-of-28) and 75.0 percent from three (9-of-12).
Senior Dan Geriot scored 14 points for his second-straight double-figure scoring game and the 51st of his career. Geriot entered the game 34th on Richmond's all-time scoring list, but passed Scott Stapleton (1,059), Jeff Pehl (1,060) and Bill Flye (1,062) to move into 31st with 1,068 points. Geriot had five assists and two steals.
