THE TEAM
Richmond improved to 9-3 on the season for the second-straight season. Only six times in 99 seasons of basketball and only two times since the 1954-55 season, have the Spiders started better than 9-3.
Eight of Richmond's 9 wins have come by double-figures, with the one non-double-figure win a 6-point victory at Arizona State.
The Spiders improved to 43-15 (.741) since Feb. 18, 2009.
Richmond improved to 2-2 on the road this season and 4-3 in games away from the Robins Center.
After shooting over 42 percent in its first 10 games, the Spiders shot under 40 percent for the second-straight game.
THE PLAYERS
Senior Justin Harper scored 17 points for his 44th-career double-figure scoring game, including his 18th in the last 21 games and 10th in 12 games this season. Harper now has 967 career points, needing 33 points to become the 40th Spider men's basketball player to reach 1,000 for his career.
Senior Kevin Anderson scored 12 points for his 95th-career double-figure scoring game, including his 88th in the last 94 games. Anderson had 4 steals to give him 181 for his career, just one steal behind John Davis for third on Richmond's all-time steals list.
Junior Dan Geriot scored 11 points for his 54th-career double-figure scoring game, including his 5th this season. Geriot has 1,141 career points, which ranks 27th on Richmond's all-time scoring list, 18 points behind Tom Green for 26th.
