Spiders Deck The Hall In Moving To 10-3

NEWARK, N.J.-Justin Harper scored 24 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead Richmond to a 69-61 victory over Seton Hall on Sunday.
Harper connected on 6-of-8 three-pointers as the Spiders won their third-straight game on the road. As a team, Richmond shot over 47 percent from three, making 10-of-15 treys. He moved within nine points of reaching 1,000 career points.
The Spiders played the last game in a stretch of playing just one home game in a 35-day span and defeated their third BCS conference team of the season, including the second on the opponent's home court.
Richmond overcame a five point halftime deficit, and outscored Seton Hall 39-26 in the second half. The Spiders held the Pirates to just three points over the final 8:53 of the game.
Kevin Anderson scored 14 points, including five points in the final two minutes that kept the Pirates at bay. Anderson had two steals, giving him 183 for his career which is third on the Spiders' all-time list. Anderson passed Spider Hall of Famer John Davis, father incoming freshman Trey Davis. He also had five assists.
Junior Francis-Cedric Martel scored nine points, making 4-of-5 field goals. Sophomore Darien Brothers scored seven points and senior Dan Geriot had six points. Junior Darrius Garrett scored four points, including a monster dunk in traffic, grabbed seven rebounds and blocked four shots. Garrett moved into seventh on Richmond's all-time career blocks list with 92, passing Steve Kratzer (91).
Richmond returns to the Robins Center on Wednesday to host Wake Forest at 7 p.m. The Spiders have lost 17-straight games to the Demon Deacons, dating back to 1990.
