THE TEAM
Richmond won its third game in four tries this season against a BCS conference team, including its second on the opponents' home court. The Spiders have won seven of the last 10 games against BCS conference teams, including three in each of the last two seasons.
The Spiders won their third-straight road game and are 10-3 on the season after playing seven of the last eight games away from home. Richmond went 6-2 in that stretch.
Richmond improved to 3-0 all-time against Seton Hall, including 2-0 under Chris Mooney. Mooney has 12 victories over BCS conference teams in seven years as a head coach, including 10 in six seasons at Richmond.
The Spiders improved to 4-0 this season in games that start at noon Eastern Time. Richmond has four more games that start at noon Eastern Time.
Richmond improved to 44-14 (.746) since Feb. 18, 2009.
THE PLAYERS
Senior Justin Harper scored a season-high 24 points, making 9-of-17 field goals and 6-of-8 three-pointers. Harper reached double-figures for the 44th time in his career, including the 19th time in the last 23 games. Harper's six three-point makes were a career high. He now has 991 career points, needing just nine points to become the 40th Richmond men's player to reach 1,000 career points.
Senior Kevin Anderson had two steals which moved him into third on Richmond's all-time steals list with 183, passing John Davis (182). Anderson scored 14 points for his 96th-career double-figure scoring game, including his 12th in 13 games this season. Anderson ahs scored in 89 of the last 95 games and has 1,761 career points, which ranks fourth on Richmond's all-time scoring list.
Junior Darrius Garrett blocked four shots, which gives him 92 for his career. Garrett passes Steve Kratzer (91) and moved into seventh on Richmond's all-time career list.
