Shrader Finishs Third, Spiders Take 11th At Pinehurst

PINEHURST, N.C. -Junior Michael Shrader tied for third at 2-over-par 218 as the Richmond men's golf team finished 11th at the Pinehurst Intercollegiate.

Shrader shot a 2-over 74, 1-over 73 and 1-under-par 71 to finish at 2-over 218.

Richmond shot a 305 in the first round, followed by a 297 in the second and third rounds to finish at 35-over 899. Richmond was eight shots out of fifth place, just two shots out of eighth place and one shot out of 10th.

Junior Sam Beach tied for 11th at 5-over-par 221, carding a 1-over 73 in the first round, an even-par 72 in the second and a 4-over 76 in the third round.

Junior Zak Kozuchowski tied for 56th at 14-over 230 (80-74-76). Senior Robert Lindstrom and freshman Nick Austin tied for 70th at 233. Lindstrom shot 78-78-77 and Austin went 81-78-74.
