Outdoor Track & Field Goes Coast-To-Coast This Weekend

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND - The University of Richmond track & field team has both coasts covered this weekend as senior Matt Llano is set to run the 10,000m at the prestigious Stanford Invitational Friday night, while the rest of the Spiders will compete at the Maryland Invitational.

Stay tuned to the blog of men's head coach Steve Taylor, as he and Llano will give fans a behind-the-scenes look at the Stanford Invitational. Llano runs Friday night at either 9:40 p.m. PT (12:40 a.m. ET) or 10:50 p.m. PT (1:50 a.m. ET).
The Maryland Invitational kicks off Saturday morning in College Park at 10 a.m.
The track & field team opened its outdoor season in fine fashion last weekend at George Mason as Chris Eccleston set a modern-day school school record in the javelin and the women got a trio of wins from Dana Guglielmo (3,000m), Meaghan McGovern (hammer) and Megan Ney (long jump).
Guglielmo, who was named the A-10 Rookie of the Week for her efforts, brings the nation's ninth-fastest outdoor time in the 3,000m (9:52.61) to
