Spiders A Hit As Special Guests At Bon Air 5K

BON AIR, Va. - Members of the Richmond men's basketball team visited Bon Air Elementary as special guests at the school's 5K postrace party on Saturday.

David Gonzalvez, Justin Harper, Kevin Smith, Francis-Cedric Martel, Darrius Garrett and Jonathan Benjamin signed autographs for over an hour and were such a hit with the elementary students that they were dragged into the school's gym to shoot around.

The Spiders will be in attendance at the annual Tuckahoe Middle School Fundraiser game this Thursday with an meet and greet starting at 6:30 p.m. and the game starting at 7 p.m. Due to NCAA rules, the current players are prohibited from playing, but senior David Gonzalvez and the coaching staff will play Tuckahoe Middle's teachers.
