Three Freshmen Compete In VHSA Senior All-Star Game

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. -
Freshmen Kristen Lybert and Jensen Smith all participated in the 2010 VHSA All-Star East vs. West game this past weekend. Wann was named MVP of the game after scoring two goals and assisting on the game-winner as the West defeated the East, 3-2.
Wann was named Virginia State Player of the Year earlier in the week. The Chesterfield, Va. native was a four-year starter and varsity letter winner at Cosby High School. Wann played against upcoming teammates in Lybert and Smith.
Lybert, a forward from Woodbridge, Va. was a 2009 All Metro first team selection. Smith, a forward from Clifton, Va. was a member of the2008 Virginia State champion team (VHSL AAA).
The Spiders open their 2010 season Aug. 20th at Ukrop Park against rival JMU at 7:00 p.m.
