BERGEN, Norway -
The Richmond women's basketball team used a 16-0 run in the third quarter to roll past Ulriken Elite 88-45 in the last game of the 2010 Scandinavian tour in Bergen, Norway. The Spiders went 3-1 in foreign play, averaging wins by 33 points a game.
The Spiders played in their most competitive game to date, as Ulriken stayed around through the first quarter. After holding a 22-12 first frame advantage, Richmond boosted its lead to 37-22 at the break, thanks to consistent play and timely jumpers from freshman Kristina Puthoff-King.

The Spiders continued the surge, going on a 16-0 run to close the quarter and a 33-10 point strike in this span. Richmond was buoyed by veteran Brittani Shells, who scored 10 of Richmond's 12 points in the scoring onslaught.
Ulriken Elite finally connected on a basket with 7:06 in the last quarter, but Richmond's damage had been done. Freshman Genevieve Okoro recorded a stellar game, scoring 18 points, and grabbing 12 rebounds.
