
Lovette Shoots 3-Over Par In Opening Round Of 2010-11

HANAHAN, S.C. - Playing in a Cougar Classic with 10 teams that played in the 2010 Tournament, the Spiders shot a 310 in the first round and are in 18th place after Sunday's first round.
Sophomore Caroline Lovette, who became the first Richmond women's golfer to win a collegiate tournament last fall, shot a 3-over-par 75 to sit in a tie for 38th.
Seniors Christina Gray and Jillian Fraccola are tied for 69th after shooting 78s on the par-72, 6,202-yard Yeamans Yall course.
Sophomore Tracy Martin is tied for 80th with a 79 and sophomore Courtney Rousse is tied for 105th with an 83.
The second round of the 54-hole tournament will be played Monday and can be followed live on Golfstat.com's live scoring.
