
Lovette Leads Spiders Again At Cougar Classic

HANAHAN, S.C. - Sophomore Caroline Lovette shot a 4-over-par 76 after an opening round 75 to lead Richmond for the second-straight day at the College of Charleston's Cougar Classic.
The Spiders, playing in a highly regarded field that includes 10 teams from the 2010 NCAA Tournament, are in 17th place out of 21 teams, having moved up a spot after the second round.
Lovette, who won the Spider Invitational last fall in her first collegiate tournament, is tied for 45th at 7-over-par 151 entering Tuesday's final round of the 54-hole tournament.
Richmond senior Christina Gray and sophomore Tracy Martin are tied for 68th at 11-over 155. Gray shot a 78 in the opening round and a 77 in the second round, while Martin went 79-76.
Senior Jillian Fraccola is tied for 78th at 156, with back-to-back rounds of 78. Sophomore Courtney Rousse is tied for 101st at 161 (83-78).
The Spiders conclude play in the Cougar Classic on Tuesday.
