Spider Spotlight On Jensen Smith

Each week a player from the Richmond women's soccer team is featured as the Spider Spotlight Player of the Week. This week's Spider is Jensen Smith. Smith took some time to answer a few questions about herself and her time at Richmond.
Why did you decide to play soccer at the University of Richmond?
I knew from the moment I arrived on campus that the University of Richmond was where I wanted to be for the next four years and having played soccer all my life, the opportunity to continue my career as part of such a great program with such a fun, hardworking group of girls made my decision even easier!
What are your career goals?
To find a field of study that interests me as well as encourages me to continue learning and eventually be able to make a living doing what I love to do.
Who are your role models?
My mom, my dad, and my brother, Tommy
What is a hidden talent?
I used to play tennis and ice skate competitively
If you could take a road trip anywhere, where would you go?
Laguna Beach!
What has been your most memorable moment at Richmond thus far?
Doing the high ropes course during preseason for team bonding
The best thing about being a Spider is?
Being able to represent such a phenomenal school and feeling the pride that comes with wearing any Richmond uniform.
How would your best friend describe you?
Dedicated
If I had to sing karaoke, what tune would you belt out?
Fearless by Taylor Swift
What did you do over the summer?
For graduation my parents took me on a trip to Italy!
What is your favorite part of the game?
Feeling completely exhausted after giving it your all to win a game or achieve a goal that no one else thought was possible.
What are your fears?
Oompa Loompas and frogs
What is your goal as a UR soccer player?
To contribute to winning an A10 championship and make it to the NCAA tournament!!
